Hi! Everyone-

We noshed through Thanksgiving, grumbled during the Civil War party, and hunkered down for Black Friday!!! Hope you had a festive long weekend!

Now December is just about here- time for holiday bazaars, tree lightings, some great local theater, and food and toy drives!!!

Nov 28th

THPRD Food And Toy Drive runs through Dec.15th to help Beaverton area families.

Bring new, unwrapped toys (no stuffed animals) and nonperishable food items to your local THPRD Center or Aquatic Center. Go to www.thprd.org for more info!

Mommy and Me Mondays@ World Forestry Center from 10AM-11AM. Enjoy some entertaining stories and free coffee for parents every Monday through April in this new program! Included with admission fee of $8 per adult, $5 for kids over 3, and kids 2 years and younger are free! Afterwards- take your time and enjoy all of the hands-on exhibits. In Home for the Holidays ,the girls of Heather Vogel Frederick's popular Mother-Daughter Book Club series (geared for ages 9-12) are up to a variety of holiday-themed antics! We've enjoyed several of these fun productions for kids- great voices, acting, and school orchestra! We're looking forward to this new spin on Oz-when the real Wicked Witch of the West, Hecubah, suddenly finds herself on the set of a high school production of The Wizard of Oz, she and her flying monkey, Nikko, quickly realize they aren't in Oz anymore. 27th Annual Holiday Bazaar@ Garden Home Recreation Center from 9AM-4PM.

We have always found really cool, locally crafted holiday gifts here! There will be over 100 vendors with ornaments, jewelry, scarves and more! FREE "Build and Paint a Snowman Napkin Holder"@ Home Depot stores (closest would be 4401 SW 110th Ave) from 9AM to Noon. Kids will learn tool safety and have fun working on this "hands-on" project.
