Hi! Everyone-

There are at least 2 local productions geared for kids("Oil Change" at Broadway Rose and "The Phantom Tollbooth" at HART Theatre) and you can eat pie guilt-free on the weekend! Unless you are already headed to the ChocolateFest! Ha,ha,ha!

Book Babies@ Tigard Library from 10:30-11:30AM.

Most libraries are closed today in observance of the MLK Holiday but Tigard Library will be open. Share nursery rhymes, finger plays, songs and a simple book while developing early literacy skills. Stay and play after the program. Phone the library for more details at 503/684-6537.

Mommy and Me Mondays@ World Forestry Center from 10AM-11AM. Enjoy some entertaining stories and free coffee for parents every Monday through April in this new program! Included with admission fee of $8 per adult, $5 for kids over 3, and kids 2 years and younger are free! Afterwards- take your time and enjoy all of the hands-on exhibits. Flamenco Dance Workshop@ Tigard Library from 7-8:30PM.

Inspired by Maks or Karina to hit the dance floor? Enjoy a short flamenco performance,then stay and try it out yourself with live musical accompaniament. 7th Annual ChocolateFest@ Oregon Convention Center from 5:30-9:30PM.Opening night is just for adults (live music and happy hour) but bring the kids on the weekend!  Chocolate fanatics can learn how to make Salted Almond Dark Chocolate Truffles and even Dark Chocolate Fettucini! Check out chocolate sculpting and cooking demos, learn the origins and history of chocolate, sample chocolate and wine pairings and more! Delight in some of the finest chocolate from the NW and beyond! $20 per adult tonight but on the weekend-$10 per adult, $7 for kids 5-12. Proceeds help to support the World Forestry Center. Baker & Spice- one of SW Portland's fave spots for sweet treats- will celebrate their 7th bday and National Pie Day with a weekend of pie-related fun. 25% of all pie sales will be donated to Neighborhood House in support of their Emergency Food Box Program. Expect a range of country, rock and assorted other musical styles with lots of family-friendly humor. $10 per ticket.
