Hi! Everyone-

Lots of great kid shows this week - Presto's Magic Show and Mad Science both have a few appearances and Broadway Rose's "Beauty and the Beast" has a short run!!! There's also a free performance of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" on Saturday night.

Jul 9th

OMSI's Portable Planetarium@ Beaverton City Library from 12:30-3PM.Kids in grades K through 5th can check out the night sky! Pre-registration required so phone the Children's Desk at 503/350-3600.

The Harmonics@ Tigard Library from 7-8:30PM.The Harmonics is a thoroughly entertaining a cappella quartet. They sing a wide range of songs from Billy Joel, The Beatles, Harry Connick, Jr. , The Temptations, Van Morrison, The Blenders, The Turtles, The Four Freshman, The Bobs and more in harmony - with no instrumental accompaniment. Beauty and the Beast@ Broadway Rose Theatre (Deb Fennell Theater at Tigard High School located at 9000 SW Durham Road in Tigard) at 11AM.

These short (40ish minutes), lively productions are a great way to introduce kids to the theater!!! I started taking my kids when they were about 3.The original songs are always fun for both parents and tots and the ticket price is right at $8!!! Shows often sell out so get your tickets in advance by phoning the box office at 503/620-5262 or at www.broadwayrose.org. The kids can meet the characters afterwards for photos and program autographs!
