Writing Guide for Mothers@Powell's at Cedar Hills at 7PM.

Award-winning writer Kate Hopper has spent nearly a decade teaching women to write down their tales of motherhood. Now, in Use Your Words: A Writing Guide for Mothers (Viva Editions), her expert guidance will encourage moms to write their stories- whether the goal is to blog, publish magazine articles, or pen the next blockbuster memoir. Bicycle Rodeo@ Hillsboro Main Library (2850 NE Brookwood Parkway, Hillsboro) from 2:30-3:30PM.

Bring your bicycles and participate in a bike rodeo and learn about bicycle safety with Officer Reimann of the Hillsboro Police Department. Meet by the bicycle pavilion located at the north end of the Library, geared for ages 5-10.

The Music Man@ Broadway Rose Theatre (New Stage at 12850 SW Grant Ave., Tigard) at 2PM and 6PM.

Multnomah Days Celebration@ Multnomah Village (Capitol Hwy between SW 33rd and SW 39th Ave) from 9AM to 4PM.

Enjoy a festive parade at 10AM (clowns on bikes, vintage cars, local floats, cute kids, and dogs) and check out the 100 vendors showcasing food, art, crafts, and merchandise. This is a kid AND dog-friendly community celebration! There will be a huge Kid Zone at the Multnomah Art Center, a Dog Wash at the Lucky Lab, and great live music like the "Get a Life Marching Band".
