Library storytimes are in full swing although Beaverton libraries are closed for staff training this Thursday!!! The Garden Home Rec Center's revamped weight room has a grand opening on Saturday and check out the details for the 2nd Annual Murrayhill Family Triathalon on Sunday!!!

Healthy Choices@ Tigard Public Library from 7-8:30PM.Heidi Golightly, a certified corporate wellness coach, has written "Healthy Choices for a Healthy Life", which she spent 15 years researching and writing. Heidi will discuss how to maintain a healthy digestive system in order to promote a strong immune system. She will talk about the key to eliminating many diseases and other common ailments such as allergies, asthma, irritible bowel syndrome and gluten intolerance.Go to for more info.

Sep 11th

Tears of Joy Puppet Theatre@ Tigard Library from 7-8PM.This fun, interactive bilingual show brings the Guatemalan jungle to life. The loud parrot Papagayo makes life difficult for the night animals, but his talents become useful when the Ancient Moon Dog wakes up and starts to cause trouble. Team up to scare away the Moon Dog with some singing, hooting, and crowing!. Go to for more info.

47th Annual Oktoberfest@ Mt. Angel, OR from 11AM-Midnight through Sunday!

Mount Angel was settled by German pioneers in the 1800s and provides a festive setting for Oregon's largest folk festival! Check out this lively harvest party- sample delicious Bavarian treats, sip beer, watch folk dancing, and listen to live music.
