Reptile Man, ParaNorman, Year of the Snake festivities!

Hi! Everyone-

There are many Year of the Snake activities this week along with real snakes in the Reptile Man's Tigard Library presentation. Kids can learn about the stop-animation of ParaNorman and the OMSI Agate show, Chocolate Fantasy at Jenkins Estate and FREE Zoo admission round out the weekend! Don't forget Nat'l Frozen Yogurt Day on Wednesday-check out the freebie listed.

Feb 4th

Lisa Schroeder@ Powell's Books at Cedar Hills Crossing at 7PM.

Beaverton author Lisa Schroeder will introduce her latest young adult novel-Falling for You (Simon Pulse), -"a gripping new novel where affection turns to obsession and love means both devastation and redemption". In addition, Kimberly Derting will present the second book in her The Pledge trilogy. Each author will discuss her book along with games&prizes and perhaps time for Q&A. Animation Behind the Scenes@ Tigard Library from 5:30-6:30PM.Mark Shapiro of the local animation company LAIKA will show behind the scenes magic of their latest movie, ParaNorman. Hell introduce actual production puppets and describe the creative process of LAIKAs signature brand of stop-motion animation.
