Hi! Everyone-

Almost TOO much to choose from this week with Piano& Pie, ACMA Dance West, readings by Amy Ephron, Oregon's Poet Laureate, and the "Captain Underpants" author/illustrator! There are a few Earth Day Celebrations along with the fabulous annual Tigard Book Sale and a great storytelling event at Garden Home Library on Saturday night.

Food For Fines@ Beaverton Libraries through 4/22.

In celebration of National Library Week, both Beaverton City library branches will deduct $2 in fines for each food donation, up to $20. Patrons can also have late fees waived completely if they bring back their overdue or billed items.The circulation desks at both branches (BCL&Murray Scholls) will accept non-perishable food donations from any patrons, not just those with fees to pay. All the non-perishable donations go to the Oregon Food Bank West.

Mommy and Me Mondays@ World Forestry Center from 10AM-11AM. Enjoy some entertaining stories and music every Monday through April! Included with admission fee of $9 per adult, $6 for kids over 3, and kids 2 years and younger are free! Afterwards- take your time and enjoy all of the hands-on exhibits. Relish@ Tigard LIbrary from 4-5PM.Indie cartoonist and author Lucy Knisley presents Relish, a graphic novel memoir of a life lived through food. Knisley will read from her book and highlight her presentation with illustrations from the book and photos from her childhood. She will also talk about creating a graphic novel memoir. Pie and Piano@ Beaverton High School (13000 SW 2nd Street, Beaverton) at 6:30PM.

Join in for an evening of good food and great music, with local musician Michael Allen Harrison! Haley Johnsen (an American Idol semifinalist) is scheduled to perform and Beaverton High School bands will also perform. Pie and ice cream will be provided at intermission, and is included in ticket price of $5. All proceeds will benefit both the Highland Park Middle and Beaverton High School band programs.
