Dining Month@ Portland through June!

Fleet Week through Sunday@ Along Tom McCall Waterfront Park's esplanade seawall from the Steel Bridge to Salmon Springs Fountain. FREE tours daily from 9:30AM-3:30PM(ships set their own schedules so times may vary). Naval vessels from the Coast Guard, and the Canadian Maritime Forces arrive for a week long visit!!! Rhyming Dust Bunny Party@ Beaverton City Library from 10:30-11:30AM. Celebrate Jan Thomas picture books with crafts and games. Geared for ages 2 through 6 years.

Back to the Table-Meal Planning Made Easy@ Tigard Library from 7-8:30PM. Chef Perry Perkins has devised a creative, healthful answer to that daily question, "What's for dinner?"  Get advice on menu planning and shopping.  Save time by cooking meat in bulk to use for several meals.  Create delicious fish and seafood recipes and make the most of seasonal ingredients.  Added bonus - a chance to taste some of Chef Perkins' delicious snacks.

Make a Lego Mini-Fisherman@ Lego Store (Wash. Sq.) from 5PM until supplies last! Free! Phone the store for more details at 503/670-9109. You can just never have enough Legos, can you? For kids from 6 to 14. Supplies are limited so arrive early. I have seen parents and kids line up at least 45 minutes ahead before!

Rose Festival Junior Parade@ Portland (NE Sandy& 52nd) at 1PM.Yet another festive parade in honor of this month's Rose Festival!!!This parade includes 30 elementary/middle school bands, scout troops, dance teams, Rose Festival Court princesses and more!!! Beaverton Civic Theatre's "The Miracle Worker"@ BCC (13600 SW Allen Blvd.) at 5PM.
