One Souffle At A Time@ Powell's Books at Cedar Hills Crossing at 7PM.

Anne Willan demystified classic French culinary technique for regular people who love food. Her legendary La Varenne Cooking School trained chefs, food writers, and home cooks. In One Souffl at a Time (St. Martin's), Willan tells her story and the story of the food-world greats including Julia Child, James Beard, and others. Guitarist John Twist@ Tigard Library from 7-8:30PM.John Twist performs all original songs and instrumentals on 6- and 12-string guitars, banjo and mandolin.  His music combines Celtic, folk, Appalachian, blues, gypsy and pop sounds.  "Twist is a weaver of twelve-string wonders." - Willamette Week
