Next weekend looks really busy- Winter Market, Junior Chef class, and the Pittock Mansion will kick off 10 days of free admission! The free Opera performance sounds like an easy way to introduce older kids and tweens to a new art form.

Portland Opera@ Beaverton City Library from 7-8PM.FREE! Beaverton City Library and the Portland Opera present a 50-minute sneak peek of Lucia di Lammermoor -Italian romantic opera, universally celebrated for its fervent music, dramatic story and strongly etched characters. This tale of a pair of star-crossed lovers, each from a different noble household, includes a legendary sextet and Lucias Mad Scene, a 15-minute vocal thrill ride of Olympian virtuosity.
