This pedicure weather has been spectacular this past week! Now back to the fleece? Really?

Check out the special World Language Storytimes at Beaverton Library this week - stories in Japanese, Russian, Chinese and Korean!!!!

Has it been ages since you had a night on the town? Difficult to get a sitter? Garden Home is hosting a special Parents Night Out on this coming Friday. You could actually see a first run    movie and/or eat at a restaurant that doesn't provide crayons at the table! See Friday for details.

Parents Night Out@ Garden Home Recreation Center from 5:45-9:15PM

Savor a night out while your kids are well cared for and enjoy some supervised activities! Kids from 2-6 years will play games and do some crafts while kids from 7-12 years will watch a movie or play some "E-rated" Wii games. Dinner and snacks included in the $25 fee per child. Phone Garden Home Recreation Center to sign up at 503/629-6341. Madeline and the Gypsies@ NW Children's Theater (Portland) at Noon and 4PM

Last weekend for this show!!!! We just saw this fun production on the weekend - great voices, costumes, and colorful gypsies along with a spirited Madeline. The Gypsy Mama displayed a Catherine Zeta-esque flair and the circus performers - Strong Man, Lion, and Mime- were terrific!  Fridays at 7PM, Saturdays and Sundays at noon and 4PM through this weekend!. Best for kids 5 years and up although I definitely saw younger kids there who enjoyed the show.  Running time is about an hour and 45 minutes (including 15 minute intermission). Go to www.nwcts.org for tickets. Don't forget to pop into Saint Cupcake around the corner (17th&Flanders) for a delectable hot fudge cupcake! More info at www.saintcupcake.com.
