Free Foodie Demos, Bugfest, & OR State Fair!

Hi! Everyone-

Many weekly summer events are ending now but there are several cool events for your Chef de Cuisine - including 2 free cooking demos on Saturday (you will need to register for the Summer Small Plates class ASAP- scroll down to Saturday for info). There's also a Girls Night Out to benefit local charities. And the local Bugfest and OR State Fair starts up!!!!

Free Museum Family Night@ Portland Art Museum from 5-8PM.

The Portland Art Museum offers free admission on the 4th Friday of every month from 5-8PM. Crepes, ice cream, & various snacks will be available for purchase from several Portland food carts. Bugfest@ Tualatin Hills Nature Park  (15655 SW Milikan Way) from 11AM-4PM. Butterflies are the focus but learn more about beetles, bees and other insects through games, displays, crafts, and guided activities. Free Summer Small Plates Class@ Standard TV & Appliance (3600 SW Hall Blvd., Beaverton) from 1-4PM.  Louisa Neumann, a French-trained chef and instructor at In Good Taste cooking school, will  give you a sneak peak of Sept.'s MIX mag with demos on making summer salad rolls with spicy peanut dipping sauce and more!!!
