Happy Spring Breakdown!

Hi! Everyone-

It's Spring Break for elementary school kids!!! Sounds idyllic- no more science fair projects or spelling tests to worry about. Everyone can sleep in and later bond over board games and cocoa! For some-by day #2, the break has become a breakdown!!!! Ha,ha,ha!!!

Never fear! For those of you who are staying around town-there's plenty to do including library fun and the THPRD Nature mobile!!!!And there are special events at the Forestry Center and the Zoo,too!

Spring Break Around The World@ World Forestry Center (4033 SW Canyon Road, Portland) from 11AM-3PM

Explore a new region of the world with cool crafts, etc. All activities included with museum admission of $8 per adult and $5 per child (3-18). Today you can learn about Russian culture and history with Russian Folk music and a fun nesting doll craft and Faberge Egg craft. World Forestry Center& Portland Japanese Garden Discount on Dual Admission Today Only!!!Visit the Portland Japanese Garden and then present your admission receipt for $2 off adult admission and $1 off kids' admission to the World Forestry Center's (Spring Break Around The World) Japan Day! "The 3 Pigs with Baby Bear" @ Ladybug Theater at Smile Station (8210 SE 13th Ave., Sellwood section of Portland) at 10:30AM. This show is geared for kids from 2 1/2 to 6 years old. Plenty of audience participation and the shows usually last 40 minutes. $3.50 per person but babes in arms are free. Pay at the door but you must phone to reserve tickets in advance at 503/232-2346.
