Olivia's Birds@ Powell's Books (Cedar Hills Crossing) at 7PM

Eleven year old Olivia Bouler's pledge to help during last year's BP oil spill caught the hearts of the nation and has raised more than $175,000 for conservation in the last year! Now she and her family are on a short book tour in support of her compilation of  wonderful paintings, "Olivia's Birds". This is the first session in this month's "Every Child Ready to Read" parenting workshop series! These early literacy sessions offer parents tips on bringing reading into everyday routines and family fun. REGISTRATION required by phoning the  library at 503/350-3600. The 3 Silly Goats Gruff @ Ladybug Theater at Smile Station (8210 SE 13th Ave., Sellwood section of Portland) at 10:30AM. This show is geared for kids from 2 1/2 to 6 years old. Plenty of audience participation and the shows usually last 40 minutes. $3.50 per person but babes in arms are free. Pay at the door but you must phone to reserve tickets in advance at 503/232-2346.
