Hi! Everyone-

Now that we finally have some real summer heat, it's time to think about school supplies! Or find the supplies that we already bought..hmmm!!!!

Lots of fun events to get the last bang out of summer. Like the cannons at the Portland Pirate Festival! Enjoy the last Wednesday Farmers Markets and (the last) Last Tuesday at the Round. The Dahlia Festival  and Art in the Pearl round out Labor Day Weekend along with International Vulture Awareness Day at the Audubon!

Aug 29th

Oregon State Fair@ Oregon State Fairgrounds (2330 17th Street NE, Salem) from 10AM-11PM through Labor Day!

What more could you ask for? There are 9,000 things to see and do including 4-H displays, the 2nd to last final Judds tour, Roller Derby, Chinese acrobats, GASCAR Crazy Animal Races, Timbersports and carnival rides! Aug 30th

Beaverton Last Tuesday Concert@ The Round (Fountain Plaza at 12600 SW Crescent Street next to Mio Sushi,etc.) from 5-8PM.

Free Outdoor Concert! Keegan Smith and the Fam will bring acoustic pop and disco-funk to the plaza. Valley Squares will perform square dance, too! More info at www.beavertonarts.org. Bring your own picnic or purchase dinner from one of the nearby restaurants!

Ahoy and Avast! The Annual weekend Portland Pirate Festival is dropping anchor in a new location today- in the river village of St. Helens!  Check out this family friendly festival with pirates, clashing swords and booming cannons, music, games, crafts, mermaids, grub and grog for scallywags of all ages. Kids and adults will relish the historical renactments,dance, and interactive theater, too. One day youth(12 and under) pass is $6 at the gate or $5 in advance.
